Amarante/Portugal, December 2016: BaxEnergy welcomes Rui Carneiro as Managing Director of the new subsidiary that starting from January 2017 will become the central location for future market expansion in Iberia and South America
With the beginning of the New Year, BaxEnergy announces the opening of the new subsidiary in Portugal, located at just 25 minutes from Porto, in Amarante, inside an old factory, now converted into a modern office equipped with training facilities and showrooms, small amphitheaters to host meetings, workshops and user conferences.

Mr. Rui Carneiro has been selected as the Managing Director of the new office in Portugal, and will be responsible for coordinating Sales activities in Iberia and Latin America. Mr. Carneiro has joined BaxEnergy in December 2016 and has sixteen years of experience in the wind industry working, amongst the others, for a leading German Wind Turbine manufacturer and a major French utility. “We are very pleased to welcome Rui to our team” affirms Giuseppe Galizia, BaxEnergy Chief Operations Officer Italy, who expresses his wishes saying: “Talented and smart persons like Rui are key resources for increasing our presence in the Latin American and Iberian markets and for strengthening the services offered to existing customers. With his skills and deep knowledge, we believe that Rui can provide a significant contribution to the growth of our company.”
Mr.Carneiro brings to BaxEnergy a wealth of experience in wind turbine installation and servicing and technical asset management, helping to advance our product line as well as developing growing markets such as Brazil and Mexico. “Being part of BaxEnergy is a new and exciting challenge for me” says Rui Carneiro, adding: “As a long-time professional in the renewable energy sector, I am perfectly aligned with BaxEnergy’s philosophy to work towards a greener world by delivering innovative solutions to our customers and this is a great opportunity for continuing my adventure in new areas.”
With the opening of the new subsidiary in Portugal, BaxEnergy is ready to face new markets. “Renewable energy, especially wind power, is growing fast in the Iberian Peninsula, which in the last few years evolved into a big and interesting market for many worldwide energy players.
