ContourGlobal operates close to 130 power plants with an installed capacity of nearly 6 GW, of which approximately 28% comes from renewable sources including hydro, solar PV, wind, and biogas. The company has committed to speed up the decarbonization of its portfolio with a sustainable transition of its thermal fleet, the repowering of existing renewable assets and the organic development of new renewable projects.
This growth strategy is anchored on ContourGlobal’s intention of implementing a globally harmonized and centralized approach to operations, which BaxEnergy solutions are going to support unleashing opportunities to enhance efficiency across maintenance, engineering, and construction practices.
Optimizing the Performance of ContourGlobal’s Assets
BaxEnergy will supply ContourGlobal with Energy Studio Pro®, our comprehensive renewable energy management platform, and AssetStack®, our integrated asset performance management platform. These powerful tools enable renewable energy professionals and stakeholders to proactively monitor and control their solar, wind, hydro, hydrogen, geothermal, and combined cycle power plants.
Our solutions are designed to maximize the value of ContourGlobal’s assets through secure and robust data collection architecture, extended data modeling and harmonization across all OEMs, real-time SCADA visualization from mobile devices, custom KPI calculations such as availability and efficiency, and reporting across all power plants. Through our monitoring and management software, BaxEnergy will ensure that ContourGlobal’s power plants operate at optimal levels, maximizing asset efficiency and reducing energy losses by 1-3% per year on average.
