Acireale, Italy – September 22, 2026 – BaxEnergy, a Yokogawa company, today announced the launch of BaxSense™, its new Operational Intelligence Layer designed to progressively enhance the BaxEnergy Solutions Suite with four AI-driven capabilities: Understand. Predict. Prevent. Act.
As energy portfolios evolve across renewable generation, storage, grid assets and industrial environments, operators are required to manage growing volumes of information coming from multiple technologies, systems and operational sources. The challenge is no longer only collecting data but transforming it into meaningful insights that support faster and more informed decisions.
BaxSense addresses this challenge by introducing a new way of interacting with operational information. Instead of manually navigating multiple dashboards, reports and systems to investigate events or performance deviations, energy professionals can interact directly with their operational environment through natural-language queries and receive contextual answers based on their own operational data, configurations and historical information.
Built on BaxEnergy’s expertise in energy and industrial operations, asset performance management and digital platforms, BaxSense connects AI capabilities with customer-specific information to support more efficient, traceable investigations and more confident decision-making.
Through natural-language investigation, users can explore operational scenarios such as:
“Why did this plant underperform yesterday?”
“What changed across my portfolio compared with last week?”
BaxSense analyses the relevant operational context to help users identify contributing factors, compare assets and portfolios, and understand the reasons behind events. By reducing the need to navigate multiple dashboards, retrieve information and manually reconstruct context, BaxSense can turn hours of analysis into seconds of understanding.
Future capabilities will include predictive analysis, predictive maintenance, power forecasting and governed agentic operations, helping energy teams move from understanding what happened and why, to anticipating what may happen next, identifying where intervention matters most and, over time, connecting intelligence with authorized, human-governed workflows through AssetStack®, our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), and the Convera™ Power Plant Controller (PPC).
The first implementation of BaxSense™ is available within Farsight® Premium, the evolved edition of Farsight®, BaxEnergy’s Asset Performance Management platform for monitoring and optimizing the performance of energy assets. Through this integration, Farsight Premium becomes the first BaxEnergy solution enhanced by the new intelligence layer, combining established APM capabilities with natural-language investigation, AI-generated operational summaries and grounded, traceable answers based on real portfolio data.
From September 22, 2026, customers can request access to BaxSense through Farsight® Premium directly to BaxEnergy’s experts. Access conditions and rollout timing are defined with BaxEnergy according to the customer’s portfolio and deployment scope.
“Energy systems are becoming more distributed, interconnected and dynamic. The next challenge is building the digital capabilities required to govern this increasing complexity,” said Roberto Tundo, CEO of BaxEnergy. “BaxSense™ reflects our vision of intelligent energy ecosystems, where data, technology and operational expertise converge to enable better decisions and more resilient energy operations.”
Visitors at WindEnergy Hamburg 2026 are invited to join us at booth A1.331 and experience a demonstration of how BaxSense™ can accelerate the analysis of complex energy portfolios and support more effective operational decisions.
