Rome/ Italy – New Delhi/ India, May 2017: With a State flight from Rome to New Delhi, BaxEnergy joins the Italy-India Business Mission, the multi-sectorial forum designed to boost economic cooperation between the two Countries
Under the patronage of the Italian Ministries of Economic Development and Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Italian Business Mission to India starts on April 26th for a three days fulfilled with more than 800 business-to-business meetings between Italian companies and Indian Counterparts.
The Forum, which is being organized by the Italian Trade Agency, Confindustria, ABI, and Unioncamere, has witnessed board participation by various State Representatives, along with 150 high level companies dealing with different sectors: infrastructure and construction, machinery and automotive, renewables and ICT.

As pioneer player of the Italian energy market, BaxEnergy has been invited to attend the event as a Member of the Delegation, led by the Italian Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Hon’ble Ivan Scalfarotto. During his speech in New Delhi, Mr. Scalfarotto said: “We are in India with a particularly robust and qualified delegation, an indispensable feature for the relationship with a Country of extraordinary importance both from an economic point of view and from a geographic and demographic perspective.”
India has recorded a strong growth over the recent years, becoming one the most dynamic economies in the World and a favorable investment environment for foreign companies. With 82 GW of renewable installed capacity, the energy sector is one of the key drivers of the Country’s sustainable development and progressive integration into the global economy. That is the reason why during the event participants have addressed, within a dedicated roundtable, the current and future challenges related to the role of the green technologies in supporting India’s evolution towards energy independence.
“I believe that the most important result achieved by this forum has been the increased awareness of the importance of strengthening bilateral ties between India and Italy, creating successful synergies and enhancing the most of the plentiful business opportunities that the two Countries can mutually offer”, affirms Mr. Francesco Russo, BaxEnergy Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Russo adds moreover: “Indian energy market is seeing positive changes with relevant potentialities for further growth. As BaxEnergy we are already investing in the Country, with the aim to help energy players into putting in place the National Energy Plan of gradual CO2 emissions reduction through better energy-efficiency and the use of smart energy technology.”
With both India and Italy sharing the same willingness to going forward on a common path, and with the increasing openness of Indian economy towards the international trade, the Italian Business Mission has been a milestone to relaunch a stronger dialog and a deeper cooperation between the two Countries.
