Forerunners of the event, BaxEnergy and ROMO Wind have brought together -for the very first time ever- key exponents of the Italian Wind Energy Industry, from Enel Green Power to EDF Energie Nouvelles, from ERG to E2i Energie Speciali and many more, to discuss and shape the future of Operations and Maintenance (O&M).

The Forum has been a ground-breaking moment for all the participants that with enthusiasm and curiosity exchanged their opinions, ideas and visions on how to operate wind farms effectively and more efficiently. “With this Forum, our aim was not only to build-up a valuable networking platform, but -above all- creating something never realized before in Italy”, explains Vincenzo Carbone, Commercial Director of the Strategic Business Unit at BaxEnergy, adding “As the energy market is constantly evolving and new solutions and approaches are continuously implemented, it is fundamental to promote share-driven knowledge moments among all the actors, from energy providers to service suppliers. We realised that this moment was missing in Italy so far and this was our inner motivation for organizing the event.”

Focus of the Forum was exploring the different processes, activities and emerging projects related to the O&M Performance Monitoring field, so to debate and identify the best way to optimize data analysis, improve energy production and increase assets performance and value. These have been the main topics addressed by the speakers, from Maurizio Suraci and Fabio Corbo bringing in their experience driving ERG, to Ludovico Terzi from Renvico, from Francesco Bedani of DNV GL, to Luca Alemanno of ROMO Wind and Vincenzo Carbone broadcasting BaxEnergy’s vision of the future of O&M, during the intense discussion panel followed by an interactive round-tables and Q&A session that has raised the interest and the proactive participation of the audience.

“We are more than happy that the Italian Wind Industry has accepted our invitation and so making this successful Forum happen. We believe this event can be considered as the trigger not only for the next edition but also for other kind of similar initiatives needed by the industry to move forward”, enthusiastically says Luca Alemanno, Italian Country Manager of ROMO Wind, who points out “Events like the O&M Forum help us to move further with sharing knowledge and innovation in the energy sector.”
