Panama Wind Energy Godawari Private Limited awarded as the “Best Performing Project of the Year (MH)” at the India Wind Energy Forum 2016

Panaji-Goa/India, October 2016: Panama Wind Energy Godawari Private Limited, a Wind IPP of Panama Renewable Energy Group, has been awarded as the Best Performing Project of the Year 2015-16 in the state of Maharashtra at the India Wind Energy Forum 2016 that took place in Panaji-Goa, in India on the 6th – 7th of October 2016.

During the India’s biggest Premier Wind Energy Event, attracting and bringing together leaders from across the World, the best performing companies and other professionals were honoured under different categories of awards for excellence, among which Panama Wind Energy Godawari Pvt Ltd, that was awarded with a slew of prestigious awards at IWEF in the year 2015-16.

Panama Wind Energy installed Energy Studio Pro® for managing the performance of its 80 MW Mirkala Wind Farm in May 2015. The project was designed and implemented by POWERCON Ltd, to meet Panama’s requirement. The new control centre has been titled “The Battlefield” to reflect the fact that it is used to fight a “War” for performance improvement, and it was conferred with the award of “Wind Farm Control Center of the year-2015” at the IWEF 2015.

After one year, Mr. Dinesh Jagdale – Panama Director and CEO – receiving the IWEF 2016 award as “Best Performing Wind Farm of the Year (MH)” motivated the value of the data visualization, analysis and optimization capabilities of ESP in managing the performances of their 80 MW assets. “The analytics teams of Panama and POWERCON were quick to check and detect issues and abnormalities, using domain expertise of O&M and finding together performance improvement opportunities” said Mr. Jagdale. “Such technical feedback shared between the teams were constructively used by Gamesa to make functional changes in design, parameters setting and necessary upgrades. I appreciate the responsive participation of Gamesa, technological leader in the Wind Industry, in scaling up of the power plant’s performance” he added.
