The RE ASSETS India Forum 2017 represents the leading platform for Renewable Energy industry in India to discuss the next challenges and new opportunities for Operation & Maintenance, Asset Management, Data Analytics and IToT.

Mr. Praveen Kakulte, Director of operations in India, has taken center place on the stage and illustrated the projects implemented by POWERCON and BaxEnergy in India and their next goals for the company Group. The capabilities of Energy Studio Pro® and AssetStack™ have attracted the attention of the attendees, sharing needs and experiences.
The forum was also an opportunity to speak about operational data and advanced technical analysis, performance improvement, efficiency and availability optimization, reporting and analysis of the entire Wind and PV portfolios.

“RE ASSETS 2017 came out as an excellent networking opportunity for sharing new knowledge and meeting the main technology leaders in the Indian renewable energy market. The awards and recognitions by our PowerconBax innovative solutions and strategies is the result of years of hard work and investments that we have done in India, which are now converting into new business opportunities” declared Mr. Praveen Kakulte.
Project development in India (chart 1) is fragmented with over 200 developers with projects of at least 5 MW or more in operation. The top 20 developers account for almost 60 percent of all the operating utility-scale projects in the country. Tata Power has become the top Indian solar project developer with operational utility-scale projects, accounting for almost 10 percent of the market. Adani is a close second with 9 percent of the market share and is expected to take the top spot in 2017.
A closer look at the project development pipeline (chart 2) shows that ReNew Power is on top with a robust pipeline accounting for nearly 10 percent of the market share, while Adani is closely following with 9 percent. Greenko comes next with 8 percent. Adani is becoming the largest Indian solar developer both in terms of operational and under development projects in the near future.
